Vinita Nair
Nair joined the station in July of 2004 and began reporting on a wide range of issues, including that of the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation and the school shootings at Bailey, Colorado. Nair was hired by ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As part of her role as a correspondent, she delivered live reports and briefings to ABC's network. Nair also served as a co-anchor of World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital channel from September 17th, 2008 through February 18th 2011. On both shows Nair was initially paired by Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. On Thursday, February 17 in 2011, Nair declared that Friday, the 18th of February, would be her last night on air at World News Now. Her final day with ABC News would be Friday 18, February. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her direct successor. In the February 18 issue of World News Now paid tribute to Nair in all three segments, including appearances by current and former colleagues, including Jeremy Hubbard. Her last morning the crew was treated by Nair to breakfast that was delicious.
